Beabadoobee will bring the Powerlines Tour to the Kia Forum on October 21, marking the Los Angeles stop of her first arena headline run. Wisp will open the show.

The tour arrives alongside Pylon, Beabadoobee’s fourth studio album, due September 18. The 14-song record is introduced by “Sun Has Set” and pushes toward a heavier mix of grunge, Midwest emo and 1990s alternative rock.

Pylon also widens her circle of collaborators. Hayley Williams appears on “Nothing to Prove,” Brendan Yates joins “Powerlines,” and the album includes contributions from Evan Stephens Hall, Chino Moreno and Shane Moran. Matty Healy and George Daniel worked on “Write Me A Letter.”

The Forum show should connect that new material with the melodic guitar pop of This Is How Tomorrow Moves and earlier favorites from Fake It Flowers and Beatopia. Recent collaboration “All I Did Was Dream of You” with The Marías gives Southern California listeners another point of connection.

The Kia Forum date is the local opportunity to see Beabadoobee’s catalog translated to an arena-scale production while Pylon is still new.
