Olivia Rodrigo will launch Daisy Chain Fields at Great Park in Irvine on August 29, bringing a new one-day music festival with two stages and an all-women lineup to Orange County.

The bill includes Rodrigo, Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Die Spitz, Doechii, Eli, Garbage, KATSEYE, Mitski, Not For Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold and The Breeders. Karen O, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks are also scheduled as special guests.

Daisy Chain Fields is designed as more than a sequence of performances. Plans include community art and local vendors alongside organizations working in education, reproductive rights, maternal health, economic empowerment, domestic-violence prevention and gender equity. Net proceeds will benefit nonprofits supporting women and girls.

The festival follows Rodrigo’s third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, and recent songs including “drop dead” and “the cure.” It gives Southern California a first look at how that era will live beside the SOUR and GUTS material that made her arena tour a defining pop event.

For Orange County listeners, the Irvine setting makes Daisy Chain Fields one of the region’s most significant new pop events of the year and gives the festival a distinct local identity from the start.
